Read and retain the complete instructions. Do not install or use the carrier if parts are missing, damaged or correct installation is uncertain. Carry no more than two bicycles and never exceed the 60 kg carrier payload ceiling. Observe the vehicle axle and towbar drawbar ratings including carrier weight; the usable bicycle load can be lower. Use only a suitable type-approved trailer coupling. Check the manual requirements for drawbar rating, coupling material and minimum D-value of 7.6 kN with the vehicle or coupling manufacturer. Install on level ground with engine and ignition off and parking brake applied. Disable automatic tailgate opening and check rear-wiper interference and exhaust clearance. Keep the towball clean, dry and free of grease. Adjust and check closing force as described in the manual, with assistance; confirm the mounted carrier cannot rotate or move. Check the number plate, electrical connection, rear lamps and required visibility before departure. Follow the applicable lighting and load-marking requirements for the destination. Follow the lower road speed limit and the manufacturer maximum recommended speed of 120 km/h. Reduce speed for crosswind and changed handling, braking or ground clearance; avoid abrupt manoeuvres. Check carrier fixings, bolts, straps, load and lights before departure, again after an initial short drive and regularly during the journey. Replace worn or damaged parts. Do not transport tandems. Place the heavier bicycle on the inner rail nearest the car and keep the load low and within the permitted lateral outline. Secure each frame and both wheels and use the supplemental strap for all bicycles. Check wheelbase, frame and support fit, using the specified support adapters where required. Before carrying a bicycle with carbon frame or fork, obtain confirmation from its manufacturer or dealer that this carrier attachment is suitable. Remove e-bike batteries, loose accessories, child seats, bags and baskets before transport. Do not cover the bicycles with a tarpaulin, sheet or other wind-catching covering. Support the carrier with a second person when tilting it. Keep hands clear of moving parts and check that the tilt latch is fully engaged before driving. Account for the extra rear length when reversing and parking, and maintain adequate rear visibility. Do not modify the carrier. Remove it before a car wash and when unused, store dry indoors, and inspect it after a fall. Clean with a damp cloth without chemical cleaning agents.
